-identify the individual sounds of English that are most difficult for your learners to pronounce
-use a range of activities to give your learners practise in pronouncing problematic individual sounds
-use effective techniques to prevent poor pronunciation of individual sounds from developing
-use effective techniques to correct mispronunciation of individual sounds.

Module 3: Engaging with pronunciation – techniques and activities

The aim of this module is for you to understand how to integrate pronunciation practice in the classroom. I don't have nor use Facebook. Would I be at a disadvantage if I signed up for this?

Hi ztegwyn

Thanks for your comment. It's absolutely not essential to join our Facebook community - it's a place for you to interact with other course members and watch additional live events, but you can still complete the full course without joining.

Hope that's helpful,

Cath

Dear BritishCouncil!
Unfortunately, I can't enrol in activity because the button is not availiable. But the information on the course page says that it is availiable to enrol at the moment. What should I do?
Thank you for your kind cooperation.
Kind redards,
Natalia

Hi Yasmine77

Your certificate should appear on the course platform (under "My Portfolio - My courses) under the "My awards" tab when you successfully complete it. If you can't see it there, please send a message to the courses team directly using the orange "help" button. They should be able to resolve the issue.

Thanks,
Cath

Hello,
I couldn't find 'my portfolio' until I sent you e-mail from here and start my course.
Although the course ended, I would appreciate if you could let me restart the course to finish it due to the trouble.
I started the course, but cannot see the progress now since it has closed.

Hi Yumiko

I am sorry that you were not able to complete the course due to the technical problems with the site at the end of last week. Unfortunately, once our courses end, it is not possible to access the course content. We hope to run this course again in the future. In the meantime, you can download the free course workbook here: https://www.teachingenglish.org.uk/sites/teacheng/files/2023-08/Workbook_for_how_to_teach_pronunciation.pdf

I really enjoyed doing the course. It´s good if you want to revise your knowledge of pronunciation. What´s more you provide lots of useful tips and resources for free.
BUT it's really hard to access the course from the main webpage even when you are logged in. Everytime I wanted to continue with the modules I had to go back to the email you sent me and from there follow the blue link "the course site" and access the course. Apart from that everything was OK. Thanks a lot!!!!
