What do the levels mean? (Awareness, Understanding, Engagement, Integration)

Each course has been assigned to a level: Awareness, Understanding, Engagement, Integration. These refer to levels of teacher professional development on our CPD framework.

  • Awareness: You have heard of this professional practice, but do not yet know enough to include it in your teaching.
  • Understanding: You know what the professional practice is and why it is important, and have started to include it in your teaching.
  • Engagement: You demonstrate your understanding and confidence in this professional practice in areas of your work.
  • Integration: You demonstrate a high level of competency in this professional practice, and this consistently informs what you do at work.
