You will consider how to organise a board to help learning, think of solutions to common issues with boards as well as discuss how learners can be more involved at the board.

Module 2 – Social language in the classroom

The aim of this module is to explore how to develop and promote social language in class. It also considers effective strategies for starting and finishing lessons. You will identify elements and phrases that can be used to start a lesson, discuss how to promote social language using informal conversation as well as choose techniques to help learners to interact more confidently.

Module 3 – Managing interaction and resources

The aim of this module is to look at how to manage classrooms through interaction, and it also looks at resources to support learning. It explores a range of interaction patterns, including pair work and group work, and how to manage them. You will select interaction patterns based on activity type, use different ways of grouping in different classroom layouts as well as plan for the management of interaction, space and resources.
