Right or wrong? Right or left?

This is a fun activity for checking information or reviewing a new language structure for younger learners.

Procedure

Line up the class in a single file line facing you.
Say a sentence and students have to decide if the sentence is right or wrong. For example, ‘Today is Friday’ or ‘There are 14 students in our class today’ or ‘Mateu is wearing a green jumper’.
If the sentence is right students should take a big step to the right. If it’s wrong, they should take a big step to the left.
When the students get the idea, one of them can make up the sentences.
If you like, the last person to step the wrong way can be eliminated.

I tried this last year with other cueing. So much fun and the children had to focus on my sentences. I'm going to try again

I find it confising because you are in front of the children so your left is their right
In Argentina many children at this age does not know about right or left

That's a good point! You could help learners by writing their 'left' and 'right' clearly on the board or using visual signs with L and R for example. If necessary, you could remind them which is left/right before each sentence.

This activity is a fun game to attract the listening skills of the students. It’s one of the activity that we catch their attention.

this is good activity but it may be a little difficult for playgroup learners because they are still developing thier listening, and understanding skills.it can be adapted in a simpler way by using pictures,colors or easy actions to make it more suitable and engaging for young children.

This activity made the student able to comprehend the statements. The disciplinary engagements help them to be engaged and consistent.
