About this training module

Understanding lesson management 1 is a three-hour self-study training module, which is divided into three one-hour units.

The aim of this module is to look at techniques for managing lessons and learners. The module looks at techniques for getting learners' attention, signalling the transition between activities and stages and responding to unexpected classroom events.

By the end of unit 1, you'll be able to list the benefits of attention-getting techniques and indicate the start and end of activities or stages.

By the end of unit 2, you'll be able to state classroom issues that the teacher can and can't control and evaluate a range of classroom management techniques.

By the end of unit 3, you'll be able to identify reasons for some types of learner behaviour in the classroom and use appropriate techniques to manage difficult situations.

Certificates

For participants who successfully complete all tasks and achieve a score of 70% or above in the online exercises, there will be a downloadable certificate of completion at the end of each module.
