Task-based learning is an approach to language learning where learners are given interactive tasks to complete.

Task-based activities present opportunities for learners to practise reading and writing skills in meaningful contexts that often mimic real-life tasks and situations.  

What is task-based learning (TBL), and why do many language teachers choose this approach over the more traditional presentation, practice, production (PPP) method? This article gives an overview of TBL and highlights its advantages for learners and teachers.
