Countries represented include Algeria, England, Kuwait, and Zambia. All but the final two chapters discuss reasons for introducing team teaching, and how far this approach succeeded in their institutions. The first three papers are from the University of Birmingham. Subsequent chapters look at team teaching for learners on literacy, vocational, technical, medical, and secondary school courses. Chris Kennedy concludes the volume with a response to some contemporary criticisms of ESP and a call for more research into the valuable work being carried out by ESP practitioners in general.
