About the webinar
The British Council is committed to supporting the use of technology for the continuation of education in a crisis. As many teachers find themselves in an unfamiliar situation of having to teach their classes online, with little or no experience, the British Council TeachingEnglish website is committed to providing as much support as possible to help you navigate your way through the world of online teaching.
This is the second in a series of three webinars, which offers guidance in key areas. This webinar focuses on:
- What to do if the technology fails and transferring some of the course elsewhere
- Lesson structure and task-types
Each presentation will last for approximately 20 minutes, followed by an extended Q&A clinic.
See information about the other webinars in this series:
- Teaching online - using your coursebook and ideas for breakout rooms (20 March)
- Teaching online - tech tools and the tutor's role (3 April)
- Teaching online - supporting and mentoring teachers remotely (9 April)

A great topic...
I usually found in long-distant courses tech fails made things difficult...such as: after writing a long paragraph of teaching materials, then found its disappeared...; when talking about some key points, suddenly broken down...; Or when attending the webnars, missing some important words experts said...
I think the very important point of self is (in my field): Calm down the mood and re-check the steps of internet-processing; if really being not able to... we can watch supplemental materails, and integrated the practical experiences to write some comments...
