Watch a recording of Andy Hockley's webinar about staff engagement and motivation.

Duration
One hour

About the webinar

Research has shown that organisations with high employee engagement have better customer satisfaction, more productiveness, greater enthusiasm, lower absenteeism and reduced turnover. This talk looks at what we mean by the idea of engagement (as it applies to teachers and other staff), how it connects to motivation, and what kinds of things we can do as academic managers to enhance engagement. Drawing from recent research and literature regarding these concepts and how organizational culture can create the conditions for a more engaged staffroom, we will look at the different conditions necessary to fully engage the organisation’s staff. The talk will offer a number of practical tips for managers which can be adapted for context and used to build a more engaged team of teachers.

Recorded on 18 November 2021
