About this event
In July–September 2025, TeachingEnglish has been focusing on the theme of Assessing learning. In this last event of the series, we are looking at making assessment more inclusive. Find out what inclusive assessment means and how to design fair and unbiased assessments. You will also learn how to make traditional testing more creative and closer to real-life tasks. The final session is a teachers share session, where we have invited three teachers from around the world to share their top tips for inclusive assessment. This practical session addresses the limitations of one-size-fits-all assessments. It explores the positive impact of creating equitable opportunities for all learners, including those with special educational needs, while catering to cultural differences and varied learning preferences. First, you will learn about the key principles of accessible and inclusive assessment. You will then learn how to integrate these to accommodate diverse needs by providing alternative testing formats and designing fair and unbiased assessments.

About the speakers
Nashwa Aly Muhammad is an English lecturer and assessment specialist at Pharos University in Alexandria, Egypt. She has over a decade of expertise in education and language teaching. Known for her focus on accessibility and inclusivity, Nashwa is dedicated to designing equitable assessment practices and fostering learner-centred learning environments.
Paula Asad runs and teaches in a language academy in Argentina. She is especially interested in mindfulness in education, and she also has a qualification in educational neuroscience. Paula is the president of the teachers' association APIBB, which is the Association of Teachers of English of Bahía Blanca, her region, helping connect and train teachers.

- Certificates
Certificates of attendance are available for all attendees. You will receive a 'Thank you for attending' email after the webinar if you registered and watched on Zoom. You should receive this within 72 hours of the live event.
You should download the certificate to your computer. Once the certificate is saved to your computer, open it and type your name on the certificate. We recommend using Google Chrome or Internet Explorer to do this. You cannot do this from a mobile device.
