Embedding pronunciation into your lesson plan

Watch a recording of this webinar with Viktor Carrasquero, looking at ways to include pronunciation in your lesson plans.

About the webinar

Pronunciation work is everywhere in ELT. Global teaching qualifications ask candidates to develop an understanding of common phonological and phonetic elements involved in learning English. At the British Council, teachers are expected to get their learners to practise pronunciation. However, the difficulties teachers find in trying to organically embed ‘pron’ work into their lessons are well documented and frequently shared in our staff rooms, informally. In this webinar, join Viktor as he plans a lesson in ‘real time’, focusing on ways in which pronunciation can be included in our teaching. You will see some general guidelines you can apply when planning for pron work, as well as practical ideas you can readily implement to work on pronunciation reactively.

Recorded on 10 March 2022.
