Communicative Writing for the ELT Classroom

Watch a recording of this webinar with Jo Cummins looking at how to make writing in the ELT classroom more communicative.

About the webinar

Writing can be a skill that is neglected in the communicative ELT classroom as it is often considered more of a solitary or silent activity. In this workshop there will be teaching ideas and techniques to help integrate writing skills into communicative teaching that can be used both in online and in person classes. There will be practical lesson ideas and techniques for activities that are both purposeful, collaborative, and authentic. By considering the types of writing our students use and need we can find ways to make writing relevant to their needs and more communicative.

Hi Gemmalyn,

I am sorry to hear that you've had problems registering. I've just done a test registration and it worked okay, so perhaps it was a temporary problem. Can you try again? here's the link:

If the local problem continues you will still be able to view the webinar after it finishes and is uploaded to the site - not the same but at least it's a back-up plan!

Hope to see you there,
