We will discuss the challenges of teaching mixed-ability classes and see how AI can serve as an effective solution. You'll learn how AI tools can translate instructions into the learners' L1 to help all of them access all activities. We'll also look at tools to help teachers create tailored activities that cater to different proficiency levels. Suitable for teachers with little or no AI experience!

Session 2: Using AI to create opportunities for all learners

Let's use AI to redefine how we approach inclusivity in the English language classroom! In this webinar we'll see examples of how you can use AI to personalise learning, to adapt assessments and to provide individual feedback. You'll also learn how to design learning environments that celebrate differences in race, gender, sexual orientation, disability and special educational needs, while creating equitable opportunities for all learners.

Session 3: Teachers share: How do we use AI to meet all learners' needs?

About the speakers

Hamed Hashemian has over 15 years of experience teaching young learners, teens and adults, and has also trained teachers all over the world. He currently works as the Director of Studies/lead trainer in a secondary school in Vietnam. His special interests in ELT include online teaching, technology, gamification, differentiated instruction and CPD.

Katherine Reilly specialises in training teachers in inclusive teaching methodology and adaptation of diverse educational materials. She lives in Greece, where she teaches and works on teaching methodology and materials development courses for teachers. She has published extensively on ELT, and her articles can be found each month in the magazine ELT NEWS.  

Lola López Molines is a primary teacher in Spain with a specialization in teaching English as a foreign language. Currently, she is a Ph.D. student  at the University of Valencia (UV) and a member of the TALIS research group. Her research focuses on teaching foreign languages through AI.

Kalaivani Pallavanraja is an experienced educator and lifelong learner from India. Working now as an online teacher and mentor, she always strives provides innovative and engaging learning experiences that inspire and motivate her students, often using the latest technology.

Kyi Zin Thant is a teacher from Yangon, Myanmar who has worked with young learners and adults. She has taken part in many local, international and online events and projects such as 'Shakespeare lives in you' and 'Connecting classrooms',. She is also is a regular presenter at workshops for teachers.
