It's a wonderful tip to of providing the students with scrap papers to present the idea of each individual in the classroom. The shy students will also feel confident in writing their own topic.

I am so excited to try this activity in class, and I am sure some good thoughts will be generated as kids love competition and it gives each one a change to participate. I think I will set a timer so that they work towards a goal.
