  • A free workbook with extra learning content and resources.

What will you learn?

Module 1 - Introducing environmental issues

You will learn the key term climate change terms and concepts relevant to your teaching context, and practical teaching approaches you can use both inside and outside the classroom.

Module 2 - Lessons with a sustainability focus

In this module you will explore a principled approach to bringing sustainability into any classroom topic as well as learning how to recognise and overcome the barriers that can prevent teachers from doing this. You will learn how to equip learners with the language skills they need to understand, discuss and engage critically with climate change issues, and promote solutions to local and global environmental problems.

Module 3 - Making sustainability part of your learners' lives

In this module you will explore climate action beyond the classroom. Module 3 is aimed at helping you develop projects, through which your students can use climate related language relevant to their context and participate in community action aimed at tackling the environmental crisis. Hi.
I've enrolled on this course and completed the 2 first modules about 2 days ago. But today when I click on my portfolio, I couldn't find any courses.
Can you help me with this? Thanks.

Hi Cindy Tran

I'm afraid that this course, like all our courses, only runs for a limited time, and the course has now finished. We are not able to reopen the course after the final course date. We expect to run the course again in 2023, so you will be able to complete the modules then. I would recommend subscribing to our newsletter to keep up to date with all our latest events, courses and resources. You can do that here: https://www.teachingenglish.org.uk/subscribe-our-newsletter
