This plan is a series of lessons that covered all skills and systems based around the topic of migration. They aim to support understanding of the potential for cities to more fully embrace the opportunities presented by international population flows.

This plan is a series of lessons that aim to support understanding of the potential for cities to more fully embrace the opportunities presented by international population flows.

This lesson plan explores some of the issues associated with cultural and environmental adjustments and looks at some of ways in which these have impacted on the lives of migrants in different cities and countries.

Human Migration

Age/ Level

Aged 13-17 and Adult (CEFR B1+)

Time

6 lessons with different language focuses of 45-70 minutes. These could be used as part of a project on migration.

  • Develop communication skills
  • Develop vocabulary around the topic of human migration
  • Consider some of the issues regarding human migration
