What are the self-study modules in Digital citizenship and online skills?
- Module 1 – Digital footprint
The aim of this module is to help you as a language teacher know how you leave a footprint or trail as you navigate your online life and why you must be aware of that footprint and its influence on your and your learners' futures. You will learn how your footprint is built and where it can be found, what impact this footprint can have and how to build one that serves you well.
- Module 2 – Digital empathy
The aim of this module is to help you as a language teacher think about yourself and your learners as part of the online community, and how your words and actions can have a positive impact on that community.
- Module 3 – Critical thinking online
The aim of this module is to help you as a language teacher differentiate between different types of digital media and guide your learners to think critically about the information they encounter online. You will explore different types of media, how they can be manipulated to influence outcomes as well as learning to sort truth from fake news.

Portfolio
Hi Malak,
Check that you are not logged into your TeachingEnglish account on a different device or browser. Log out of your account on all devices and browsers, and log in again. See if you can see your portfolio, Click or tap 'My courses' from there. You should be taken to your training course from the day it starts (19th July). If you still can't access your course, log out, clear the cache on your browser and log in again.
Hope that helps and you can start the course on the 19th!

I'm not sure why you can't see it - log on ( make sure your are logged out of other devices), go to 'My Portfolio' then 'My courses' and you should see the 'My awards' menu - it's visible on your account from this side, and you have a certificate for the 'Climate action' course.
