About the webinar
How can we convey and check the meaning of new vocabulary in a fun, engaging way? What kind of practice activities help learners remember new words? How can we make sure they don't forget them in the future?
This webinar is aimed at teachers of English in schools and universities and those using English as a means of instruction (CLIL / EMI).
Participants will be introduced to a range of practical strategies for teaching vocabulary. They will have a chance to practise and reflect on these techniques and to think about how best to apply them to their teaching context.
Recorded on 12 May 2022

Great, thanks a lot.
Hi. I would like to register the webinar, unfortunately, Zoom does NOT work properly in my hometown because of low net speed.
The links for registration do not seem to appear on this website page. This is not the first time I have been unable to register and attend one of your events.
Please let me know, perhaps I am looking in the wrong place?
Sorry to hear that you couldn't join. You should be able to access the recording now, hope that works for you and the webinar links should always be findable through this link : https://www.teachingenglish.org.uk/news-events/webinars

About 24 hours after the webinar you should get an email with the all the links to be able to view the recording. We don't give certificates for watching these webinars.
same here... Zoom was not connecting.
Sorry to hear you had problems with zoom, hope it doesn't happen again :)
Thanks for the interesting webinar, I can't find where to download my certificate!
We don't issue certificates for webinar participation. The courses we run are certified however if participants complete them,
Glad you found the webinar interesting,
Anne, TeachingEnglish team
I think participants were asking about the certificate of attendance, which we get for this webinar. One must fill in the survey form till the end to download the certificate. It is a blank certificate. We fill in our name and re-save it.
Hope that clarifies.
Thank you very much for organising the webinar.
Hi Jennifer ( and thanks for your post),
I had assumed that it was 'viewing the webinar' ( which isn't certified) that was being referred to, rather than 'attending the webinar' ( which is as per your email).
Nice that we have a proper community ( that looks after each other!). Have a good weekend!
Wow! What a great webnar. Thank you so much for this helpful presentation. I am really glad to participate.
