A Narrative context lesson: The Class is the Story

Watch a recording of this 60-minute webinar looking at developing narrative contexts in the classroom.

About the webinar

In this interactive webinar, participants take part in an engaging narrative context lesson that will keep learners hooked throughout.

Participants experience how to engage their language learners in a narrative context lesson that follows a narrative arc as the lesson framework: a gripping theme (context), interesting characters, a problem that needs to be solved and a positive resolution.

The teacher and the learners are a part of the story as they get into character and go off on an adventure to solve the problem. Participants learn techniques for developing students’ engagement in the lesson and interest in the world around them. The webinar focuses on the framework of a narrative context lesson while discussing the advantages of contextualization and how teachers can adapt real world contexts to inspire students to become better citizens and broaden their understanding of the world around them.
