Contribute to research into best practices for teaching speaking online by completing this survey from the University of Surrey.

Covid-19 has led to educational settings around the world switching to online modes of teaching, often at very short notice. This has meant that English teachers in all settings have had to change the way they teach.

The aim of this research is to better understand teachers’ practices in teaching speaking through online modes. It is hoped that its results will provide an insight into good practices in teaching speaking through online settings, and support efforts in tackling the challenges arising from it.

The survey is completely anonymous, and participation is voluntary. You can refuse to answer any of the questions or withdraw at any time without saving your responses. However, due to the anonymous nature of the survey, it will not be possible for you to withdraw your response after it is submitted as we will not be able to identify your submission.

The survey will take 10-15 minutes to complete.

The research is being carried out by Doris Dippold and Marion Heron, University of Surrey.
