OPENCities – Lesson 3: Cities and migration

 

This lesson plan for teachers of adults at intermediate level explores the theme of Demographic change. Students will develop their communication skills and vocabulary around the topic of demographic change.

 

 

Introduction

OPENCities is a collaboration project between the British Council, European Commission, City Governments world-wide, and a growing range of institutional partners. The lesson plans in this series aim to support understanding of the potential for cities to more fully embrace the opportunities presented by international population flows


This lesson plan explores some of the issues associated with cultural and environmental adjustments and looks at some of ways in which these have impacted on the lives of migrants in different cities and countries. This is a strong underlying theme of the OPENCities project www.opencities.eu
