Naturalistic intelligence is one of the many types of intelligence described in multiple intelligence theory, although not as widely accepted as other types.

People with strong naturalistic intelligence are more sensitive to nature and to their role in nature.

For example:
A person with strong naturalistic intelligence may prefer to be outside more and in a natural environment.

In the classroom

Aside from using materials with content about nature, animals and plants, it has been suggested that learners who have strong naturalistic intelligence benefit from moving around a lot while learning.
