Living through uncertain times

Watch a recording of 'Living through uncertain times' - the second event in the British Council live series, Conversations of our time.

The second event of the British Council's 'Conversations of our time' series will focus on resilience, sharing ideas and experiences from around the world on how people and communities adapt during times of significant change. Dr Jill Flint-Taylor, Lucy Maina, Ralph Baydoun and host Catalina Holguín share their insights, experiences and practical solutions with you and explore:

  • The different factors that strengthen individuals and communities
  • How people and communities deal with multiple stresses and shocks that often occur simultaneously
  • How culture and communication can help to build the social bonds that increase our collective resilience
  • How language learning can support individuals and communities to withstand challenges, recover from crisis and overcome barriers

Conversations of our time is a series of free digital events with respected and inspiring thought leaders from around the globe. Please join Jill, Lucy and Ralph in conversation on Thursday 13 August at 3pm BST, where you can post your questions and learn about the critical role of resilience in helping us navigate these uncertain times.
