At their recent Board meeting, the TIRF Trustees established the James E. Alatis Prize for Research on Language Policy and Planning in Educational Contexts, as a way of honouring Jim Alatis, who was one of the founders of TIRF and had a life-long interest in language planning and policy.
TIRF are seeking nominations for the outstanding article or chapter on this topic. The prize carries with it a US $500 award. Submissions must have been published in 2014 or 2015. The deadline for nominations is November 16, 2015.
