International Women's Day is celebrated every year on 8 March. The theme for 2022 is #BreakTheBias

To celebrate this day, we have brought together a range of practical resources for your English language classroom, online events you can attend and a podcast episode to listen to.
Online events
TeachingEnglish Facebook Live Q&A
The British Council’s #TeachingEnglish team are marking UN International Women’s Day 2022 with a live and interactive video discussion. A global panel of expert educators will be exploring this year’s theme of #BreakTheBias. We will be looking at how teachers can help create a gender equal world by sharing experiences and advice on we can make our classrooms and lessons free of bias, stereotypes and discrimination.
We invite teachers to take part in this live event by following the discussion and sharing your own ideas and experiences with our panel and the teacher community. We look forward to hearing from you in the comments section of our Facebook Live video , and including this diverse range of experiences and perspectives in our discussion.
