The IATEFL International Annual Conference & Exhibition each spring is one of the main events in the English Language Teaching calendar. Attended by approximately 3,000 ELT professionals from more than 100 countries, it involves a 4-day programme of around 500 talks, workshops and symposiums as well as a vibrant social programme. This offers delegates a unique opportunity to meet leading theorists and writers, and exchange ideas with fellow professionals from all sectors of ELT.

In this short video, Margit Szesztay introduces the board of trustees and welcome delegates to the 52nd international IATEFL conference in Brighton.

In this session, the board president has generally and briefly introduced the members of conference-team, the aims of this exhibition belonging to different groups, the beliefs of Intercultural and all-inclusive understandings among each other, mother-tongues' nutrition for world-language - English in different groups, and some safety notices for all.
In my views, some key phrases made me feel very interested in:

1. Volunteering power for world's future;
2. Teacher Educators' endeavors to worldwide educational sustainability;
3. All-inclusive belief to welcome all generations for sharing and understanding;
4. Intercultural communications for ideas;
5. Mother-tongues' benefits to English Development;
6. Across-subjects contribution to language's enrichment (including arts' such as... you knew, music);
7. Safety Announcement for well-being and potential risks-avoidance

In this spring, let us embrace a warm and peaceful world through the attendance or participant-observation of a such-liked global conference & exhibition!
