This lesson plan for teachers of older teenage and adult students level B1 is about sustainability and the environment. Students will participate in a jigsaw reading task.

This lesson is about sustainability and how the UK is planning to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. The lesson involves checking what vocabulary students already know in this topic area and teaching typical collocations relating to reducing emissions and alternative energy sources. The lesson involves a jigsaw reading task, where students read texts on different energy sources and report on these to each other. Extension activities involve students using an online tool to predict the energy future of the UK (or their own country).

Hi Dangarbe

could you let me know your specific problem as I can access all files fine. Could you try a different browser and see if that works.

I cannot find where it was downloaded on my computer and I suspect it has not been! +Is it possible to download videos from TeachingEnglish site,so that I could use them with my small group of adult-students when disconnected ? Where can I find the link to do so when viewing the videos ? Thanks a lot for helping.

Sorry you're having problems with the PDFs - they are working fine for me. If you click on the links at the bottom of the page, the PDFs should open automatically, and then you can save them wherever you like on your computer. Unfortunately, the videos on the site are now available for download - only for streaming directly from the internet.

Please let me know if you are still having problems opening the text files.
