This lesson offers a variety of activities based on graffiti and the Banksy exhibition that took place in Bristol in 2009.

Students are introduced to the topic of graffiti, they complete a quiz to see what they know about its origins and history, and then read a text about Banksy and graffiti in the UK. Students are then asked to discuss their opinions about graffiti in more depth. Finally there is a light hearted role play activity where Banksy is interviewed by a journalist.

Aims:
• To learn lexis related to graffiti
• To practise reading skills
• To practise speaking skills

Age group: 12- adult

Level: B1 / B2

Time: 60  minutes
