I am trying to enrol on the "Gender in Language Education" course but I am unable to see the option to enrol on the course page. Also I cannot see " My courses" section in my account. Kindly help.

Hi iram,

First you have to be on the course website. You can find 'My courses' in the 'My learning' tab at the top.

After you go to the 'My courses' page, if the you can see the course there then you are enrolled.

If not, you need to click on the 'Home' tab then the green 'Explore all courses' button. Then you can click 'Enrol in activity' for this course.

Best wishes,

Hello! I've just finished this course and I'm so happy that I participated in it. The course raises a lot of difficult questions about gender equality and gender equity in language teaching. I really liked this course and I'm going to change my way of teaching. Thank you for this opportunity.

I'm glad I got to enroll in such a helpful course! However, there are some technical problems with the scoring and marking. Somehow the system keeps on showing that I'm at 0% and incomplete when I have done all the questions in the task. I'd be great if it's fixed so I won't be marked as 0% anymore...

Hi Tammie Le,

We're sorry you're experiencing problems. Can you report this using the 'help' button in the bottom right corner of the course website? Then the technical team will be able to help you.

Best wishes,

This is my first time doing a course on British Council web and I would like to express how glad I feel. Now I can notice gender differences in English classes ( exercises, comments, texts) as a volunteer teacher for Spanish students. Very good to share opinions with other teachers. And what about LGTBI students? Maybe a module dedicated would be one idea. However, it would be a good idea to find time spent doing this course on the certificate

Many thanks to the organization of British Council for the trainings of Teacher Development and I hope many more to come. I believe now that we, teachers are getting well aware of gender representations in the coursebooks and applying some strategies to promote gender equality and remove barriers in the classrooms after taking this course. Thanks again for the resources.

English Teaching Talks - Integrating ICT

Good Evening Team,

Thanks for the learning opportunity.

How can one attain certification after completing watching the 6 steps in the above course?  Is there an online training in a separate link for this particular course?

Kind regards,

Margaret

Hello Margaret

Are you talking about a certificate for the Gender In Language Education course, or one of the webinars? If you have completed one of our online courses (like the Gender in Language Education one), you will receive a certificate through the learning platform when you have finished the course.

Thanks,

Cath
