The Hands Up Project – The Hands Up Project with Tamer Institute for Community Education, Gaza, UNRWA, Gaza and West Bank, and Relief International, Zaatari refugee camp, Jordan

The Hands Up Project provides free online English language classes and storytelling sessions through simple video conferencing tools for children who are disadvantaged because of social, political or economic reasons. Most of the children it works with live in refugee camps in Palestine and Jordan.

Working in Japan is a 14-unit, 128-page EFL course book for university students in Japan. The book includes a DVD that features video interviews with 14 professionals. They come from a wide range of countries and careers, but all are currently based in Japan.

Embassy onTrack is an assessment tool designed specifically for continuous enrolment courses in Anglophone destinations. It is designed to: measure students’ overall proficiency against a set of pre-determined targets at 5-weekly intervals throughout their course; to make this visual such that their progress can be monitored and can be seen to be either above target, onTrack, or below target.

Mackenzie Apptivities are  GPS challenges played on iPad minis. These challenges are designed to engage, entertain and inspire students whilst using the most up to date technology. Tigtag CLIL is an online, film-based resource for teaching science and geography in English to students aged 7-11 using the Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) approach. Videotelling is a teacher resource book and accompanying website which outlines a completely novel approach to using video content in the classroom. It consists of 45 immersive stories, each based on the narrative of an authentic online video (adverts, short films, viral videos, etc.). Stories are interactive and are designed to be told by the teacher in the traditional way. This means that technology takes a back seat and viewing of the video comes later. The stories are accompanied by ready-to-use activities to get students of all ages speaking, problem solving, and creating videos and stories of their own.
