After lunch is a set of teaching resources which encourage students to use their higher level critical thinking skills to talk about an image. The focus of this lesson is on students integrating listening, speaking, writing and vocabulary skills in the context of local festivals.

The materials with this pack are designed to be used with higher level (B2+) students.

Each pack in this series includes an audio recording of the photographer talking about their photo, together with a complete downloadable lesson plan on how to exploit the image and the audio. There are downloadable student worksheets and a full-size copy of the image.

In this lesson, students are asked to:

  • Complete an FCE-style cloze test (vocabulary / grammar skills)
  • Listen for specific information (listening skills)
  • Speak about a festival (speaking skills)
  • Write their own comprehension questions
  • Write about a festival based on an image (writing skills)
  • Read classmates stories and answer questions

Thanks for letting us know about the audio problem. I have tried opening this with a different browser and it worked, so you could try that for now, but we will try to resolve the issue as soon as possible.

Thanks,
Cath

Hi there, If you right click on the audio panel (the grey bar), you should then be able to 'Save Audio As' and then you can save it to your computer. Hope that helps - enjoy the lesson! Cath TE Team
