Addressing human trafficking and modern slavery in the language classroom
About this webinar
According to the Global Slavery Index 2018, over 40 million people are enslaved on the planet today and, of these, 10 million are children. The crime of human trafficking and modern slavery is immediately relevant to the youth in our classes, and only through a well-informed, proactive next generation can this injustice be addressed effectively.
The webinar presents the courageous, inspiring and innovative actions that ELT educators and students are already taking to confront trafficking and slavery. Judy provides practical support and detailed guidance for teachers who would also like to integrate this topic into their lessons, drawing upon the brand new series of free downloadable lesson plans available on The NO Project website.
