The White Towel

Based on a short story by the British born Indian writer, Bali Rai, 'The White Towel' relates a minor accident which prompts painful memories of innocence and questioned virginity. Two cultures clash, and the bitterness creeps into the present.

Bali Rai's harrowing story is provoking and deals with some difficult issues. The kit has been sensitively complied by teachers from four countries who attended the BritLit course at NILE UK in the summer of 2008.
