The British Council Romania EWoW project was set up in 2003 with endorsement from Romania’s Ministry of Education and National Centre for Vocational Education and Training, and consultancy from the University College of St Mark and St John, Plymouth, UK.

The government of Ecuador wished to make the teaching and learning of English in its schools more effective, and asked the British Council to help it implement a major new project: Curriculum Reform and Development for the Learning of English (CRADLE).
