      Dear young ESL teachers,

I highly recommend you to take this online course. I am an experienced teacher; yet, I've taken one of the online courses by the British Council Ukraine - for the primary teachers (ETTO course). No regrets, only adoration.

I am more than convinced that Steps to Success will meet your expectations and even more. It's a great beginning to start your teaching career.

      Hello

I’ve been teaching English as third language in my country for 17years in both primary and middle schools and I’m still looking for perfection of my English as spoken and written one. and I find my self always in need cause I’m not a native one and the material on it self rely just on the programme given by the ministry, even the seminaries we assist don’t bring us much more details on the new techniques to teach English and to be more fluent .since we are dealing in my country with the new method called 'the competency based approach' which is still remain vague.

So please if some one of my dear colleagues all over the world could help me .just do it .I will be grateful

      Hello,

It's the first opportunity I may have from the British Council to be introduced as an experienced teacher in high school. Although I have such a long experience, I would like to improve my knowledge and pronunciation, and why not to reinforce my competencies in teaching. I am myself teacher trainer; however the teaching methods vary from one context to the other. So I would be really glad to renew my way of being with students, considering the fact that our methods are no longer modernised. I hope that my request will find an answer, and that any proposal will surely be positive in my career since I am always active and willing to progress because of my love to the English language.

I am a Banglali. I can speak bangla fluently but i can't speak English fluently. I respect my mother tongue very much. but i can't use it in other countries. in higher education, every book is in english, the lecture is in English, the exam, assignment, report etc. everything is in English. I beleave that, In the age of globalisation if i want to survive i must comunicate with the outside world in English. English is the only medium to communicate with the outside world. so we should learn English in order to survive in the face of globalisation. So i want to learn English and i want to speak English fluently.

English can be learnt through four dimensions. one listening second speaking third reading and fourth writing. you analise yourself that how good i am in these areas. listening plays pivotal role and directly connected with speaking e.g a child tries to speak when listens not reads or writes. so just imagine that you are new to english and first listen patiently e.g news or stories something that must be interesting and  then try to speak with your group(english learners). first speak whether wrong or right but speak english. reading blongs to writing. more you read the better you write.
