You will find below links to a series of mini courses to support the new Networks pages on this site for teacher groups and associations. They provide training on how to manage teacher networks. We will be adding a new course every two months, so watch this space!
Each mini course includes five sections and should last about an hour. The design is very straightforward - you just need to follow the instructions and do the tasks in each section. The links to the courses are below - you need to log in/register to access them. Current courses are:
- How to organise a face-to-face training programme
- Organising a small-scale online training programme
- How to increase and sustain membership
Some tasks include resources like videos, files, exercises, and links to websites. Most of the resources (apart from links to external websites) open on the same window, and you should click on the back arrow on your browser to return to previous page.
The mini courses can be used for self-study and/or adapted for face to face training workshops.
We hope you find them useful and enjoyable!

When I try to enter this course, I get the message that 'the course is currently unavailable to students'. Is it really so at the moment or do I need to enrol somehow?
TE Team
Hi and thanks for letting us know. It's working OK for me at the moment - do you get this message after you enter your password again?
Thanks
Rob

Sorry scales, think one of the settings had been mistakenly adjusted. I've fixed this now and tested it so should be working.

Hi Rob
I did receive the message after entering my password again. Now it works fine and I'm there.
Thanks a zillion

The same problem for me - my password is not accepted on the Moodle site. Could it probably be caused by my other password I use as an e-moderator?
Hi,
Well, I guess I am having the same problem as my colleagues described above. I can´t access the course. I can log in and am directed to a page to complete with my data but can´t go any further than that.
Any clues?
Thanks!
Gaby
Hi,
It is all working fine now!
Thanks
Gaby
I logged in successfully today and I suspect it was my fault that I could not do it before. Cheers!
TE Team
Hi Gaby,
Glad it's working for you now - hope you find the course useful.
Please do get in touch if anyone continues to have problems accessing the courses. You will be prompted to re-enter your TeachingEnglish password and will be asked whether you want to enrol on the course.
Good luck,

Hi Hayde
Try clicking on the link for the course you want. You should go to a new page, where you have to enter your TeachingEnglish password again.
Let me know if you still have any problems.
Thanks
Rob
The weblink in the 'wiziq guide' in testing out a web conferencing tool is not a valid internet address.
Dear Cherry
Thanks for spotting that out, it's now fixed!

I can´t stay logged in because of the cookies, Could help me on this subject? I think I have to allow cookies but just don´t know how!
Thanks in advance
TE Team
Hi Debora
Yes, try logging in with cookies allowed, and you should be OK. You just need to put in your TeachingEnglish password again when you reach the training course page.
If you still have problems, just let me know which browser you're using, and also exactly what happens when you click on the links to the courses - I'll then see if I can solve the problem for you!
All the best
Rob
Is there any certificate would be given to participents after doing these mentioned courses?
