Over the next few weeks, you will notice TeachingEnglish is changing. You will still find the same content, the same lesson plans, articles and more. However, we hope to make it more accessible through a clearer menu, with less confusing terminology, and a more visual look.
After the change in look and layout, the biggest difference will be the new names for the five main sections of the site, reflecting their content:
- Try – Teaching resources
- Think – Articles
- Talk – Community
- Transform – Teacher development
- Train – Training courses
We've based these changes on feedback from you, the users of the site, and we hope you will let us know what you think about the new look too. If you like it, don't like it, or see something not working please do contact us.
Mobile site
How many of you use your phones to find materials for your lessons? Our research shows not many, but that the number is increasing dramatically. With this in mind we have created a simplified mobile version of the TeachingEnglish site. This first version will display five types of content only: Articles, Activities, Lesson plans, Teaching kids and Top stories, but we plan to improve this after assessing the success of this initial launch. Watch this space for news.

Thanks for your feedback Lauren - glad you like it!
Hi Rob,
Here are my thankful words I would like to address you and the whole team for the excellent TeachingEnglish improvements.
In my view, the added top buttons are very practical and link us quickly to the ELT-related content. The visual effects seem to be more appealing as the layout does.
Cheers,
Maria

Thanks Maria - I do hope the new names for the buttons at the top will make it easier to navigate.
All the best
Rob
I would like to express my gratitude for making improvements to this site as we teachers need it a lot.
To tell the truth I like the previous names for the five main sections. I think they are better than new ones. personally I don't use mobile phone for internet access. But I am glad that you made mobile version of Teachingenglish for those who prefers it.
Dear TE team
