Our latest featured blog of the month is Kyle Mawer's Digital Play. Kyle is an English teacher and ICT co-ordinator at the British Council Young Learner centre in Barcelona. Last year his book 'Digital Play', co-written with Graham Stanley was published by Delta publishing and recently won the ELTon award for innovation in teacher resources. The blog that Graham and Kyle write is designed to supplement the book and support teachers who want to use online games in their language classrooms.

In 'English down on the farm', Kyle examines the use of Farmville, a familiar online game to many, as a tool for language development in the primary classroom. He provides a fresh insight into why Farmville works so well with primary students and gives detailed explanations of the kind of language teachers can expect their students to learn and use in order to co-operate with their classmates.
