The British Council has launched a new English Teaching Graduate Scheme that will support unemployed graduates to become English teachers overseas and encourage young people from the UK to apply for teacher training grants.

The Teacher Training Grant is intended to support UK graduates who are keen to pursue a career in Teaching English as a Foreign Language but who have not yet had the opportunity or do not have the resources to do so.

Successful applicants will receive a British Council EFL teacher training grant for 50% course fee of Cambridge CELTA or Trinity CertTESOL.

Preference will be given to applicants who would otherwise have been unable to fund the full cost of the CELTA or Trinity CertTESOL courses.
