The ELTons, sponsored by Cambridge ESOL, recognise and celebrate innovation in the field of English language teaching.

The UK Award for Innovation and the Cambridge ESOL International Award for Innovation reward published ELT products developed either in the UK or internationally. The Macmillan Education Innovative Writing Award, now in its second year, gives previously unpublished writers the opportunity to win a £1000 prize and a chance to develop their career in publishing through a mentoring programme supported by Macmillan Education.

The call for entries for the ELTons 2011 is now open and an application pack is available at www.britishcouncil.org/learning-eltons. The deadline for entries is 30 September 2010.
