Proverbs and quotations

For years I have been writing quotations, proverbs and statements on the top left side of the board. I change them every week. When students come in they are eager to read what is there and discuss what they do not understand.

Hello, very interesting idea. I have used it but only several times. And the students liked it very much. I have also used tongue twisters at the beginning of the lesson.
Now, what kind of proverbs and quotations do you use? Only English? Can you give some example, please?
