Learning styles

Learning styles are the different ways people prefer to learn. There are a wide variety of styles and also terminology used to describe them.

Example
A learner likes to record new vocabulary in lists and sees this list in their mind when recalling words. This is typical of what some teachers call a visual learner.

In the classroom
In a group of learners there will be a variety of learning styles. Addressing their needs means using a range of techniques and resources, including visual realia, colours, movement, music, games and social interaction.
