Take an online course with the British Council or find out about teacher training at our centres around the world!

From April 2012 we will be offering complete courses and workshops here on TeachingEnglish. At first this is limited to certain countries, but we plan to make them available to all later this year.

      Welcome!

Teacher Training with the British Council

Over the last two years we have had many requests from you to make our online courses available on TeachingEnglish, and we are pleased to announce that you can now register for courses here.*

All the courses have been written by our experienced team of writers and trainers, based around the world. The courses fall into three categories:

      • Self-access workshops: short online workshops for you to study on your own
      • Self-access courses: courses you can start at any time, studying when you want
      • Moderated courses: led by a British Council moderator, these courses have fixed start dates

We currently offer two moderated courses: Primary Essentials and CLIL Essentials. Courses in the other categories will open soon.

      *Please note
