I woud love to see articles and materials on the neglected subject of teaching one-to-one.
I have just voted in your poll on what articles I would most like to see articles. In fact, what I mean and what I would find most useful is ideas or actual plans for lessons, especially those which take a long time to prepare. I regularly make use of your materials of this nature and often produce my own. My students are retired and learning mainly for pleasure and their greatest need is for conversation practice. Role plays with specific scenarios requiring obtaining information are particularly appropriate for them. Pictures, drawings or situations which provoke discussion, comparison, recall etc. would also be useful.
I would be grateful if you could give us some ideas on how to teach students to use online translators properly.
Thanks
It is not teaching I am interested in (after 33 years of teaching English and German as second/foreign languages), but learning.
How do students learn best?
If they want to learn English - do they have to learn grammar? What grammar?
Can we expect them to want to learn grammar? Ever? Has anyone succeeded in teaching her or his students grammar? Ever? What proof is there?

Or more specifically, I'd like to see a section on teaching in compulsory secondary education. Too many of these articles assume the learner is self-motivated. Finding relevant articles is too hard.
Also, I wonder about all the "positive" evaluations from the same names. If individuals are posting comments saying "this is interesting, how about..." then that's meaningful; if "contributors" are posting them, it's meaningless. Do they have a quota to fill?
Anybody who has many way to create the grammar lesson with out boring. Pls. Share to me.
Most grammar lessons are boring. In my opinion nothing can be done for a better understanding of grammar. What I do is a lot of exercises, explanations and comparisons with our mother tongue.
Good luck!
I too would love to find much more material relevant for one-to-one teaching.
Hi
I am a freelance language teacher. According to my experience of Second Language Learners,we need more effective sources. Because, currently, some course books on market are not 100% all right in our classroom situation. For example, some graphic photos give some obstacles in our understanding the targeted aims of course.
I think this site can help some extent in our teaching profession.

It's a good idea ! dominatrices
