World Service - Learn English - Video Nation
Submitted by TE Editor on 1 July, 2004 - 12:00

A selection of videos taken from the BBC Video Nation archive with comprehension exercises, tapescripts, practise grammar and vocabulary skills in Language Fix. These exercises test students' knowledge of idioms, word forms and tense structures. Teachers can use the Get talking! in class with students to develop speaking skills. These tasks are based around oral exercises found in intermediate to advanced level examinations which include a speaking component e.g. describe what is happening in the pictures then talk about issues such as work, animal rights or hobbies. Students can then see a model answer to see the kind of vocabulary and language they should be using at this level.
