What do you know about Scotland?

This lesson takes what students already know about Scotland as its starting point and tries to develop their knowledge and vocabulary, as well as the listening skills. The listening tasks aim to help students understand quite a difficult script by not demanding too much of them. The lesson ends with an intensive listening section followed by a grammar focus on the use of the ‘Present Perfect’ tense to describe things that have changed.

- To develop students' vocabulary
- To develop students’ ability to listen to and extract information from a difficult authentic listening
- To develop students' intensive listening
- To develop students' understanding of one use of the present perfect tense

Thank you for your sharing a leson plan for Scotland as I and my students had a wonderful summer course in July,2010 in Dundee-Scotland. I applied this plan for them and they commented positively and it motivated me to prepare different cultures as well.
