Hello! I dont  agree with the fact of using  a discussion forum as a tool for teaching in secondary schools because they are not mature  to develop e real discussion. They are able to form only sentences, except excelent students. But i agree with the fact of using internet for learning. If every student will have a computer in the class they will make different exercises and the teacher not waste time by writing exercises on the board.

But, on the other hand students will find the answers of these exercises and it is not a good thing because students are becoming lazy by finding everything in internet.

Its possible but as a tool for students to ask questions and get answers not only from the teacher but also from their peers, its much more convenient as there are times when the teach will not be available to answer questions. Also students who are casually browsing the forum will learn new things

I have great experience of using it. It's really successful in teaching writing. You also can control SS projects and the steps of their implementing. It's also very useful because of involving shy SS and, of coarse, motivation! if you need more details, e-mail me.

I think we should take advantage of this tool. Kids spend hours in front of a computer. Why don't we hook them with an interesting topic such as their favourite songs, singers or films? We don't need to go into deep topics. They can discuss about their lives and interests and they don't need to have a high level of English to do this. Let's motivate them!!!!
