I have taught English for the past 20 years and have always believed in the importance of careful transitioning between the various stages in any given class. However, I have not been able to find anything in the literature that mentions the importance (or not) of including transitioning in one's lesson plan. My question is: where can I read more about this particular aspect of lesson planning? TIA
