Traditional distinction between grammar and lexis
Submitted by suezl on 10 July, 2011 - 19:31
Hello,
I'm just starting the CELTA course in Barcelona and would like to know your views about the traditional distinction between grammar and lexis.
How has it evolved in your teaching practise?
We have been asked to analyse grammar and lexis separately in our 1st assignment (Focus on Learners). Is there such a clear distinction?
Thanks in advance,
Sue

Hi Sue
There is a very interesting article about this topic in this same page:

Hope you find it useful.

Interesting question on the distinction between ‘grammar’ and ‘lexis’ and how it’s evolved in the teaching practice. Good to read this informative and useful article on the topic. It certainly sheds light on an issue that isn’t that easy to explain. Thank you.
