Dear Teachers,
I would like to know your personal opinion on Teachers Researching into their own practice. Do you research? how do you find it?

I believe that all Teachers should learn the basic Educational Research Methods through Workshops and seminars. This would enable them to understand how to begin documenting their teaching.
The Teachers Diaries should be Reflectively written about the taught content and not just jotting of syllabus items covered in the class.
Here I would quote from the book' Motivating Students to Learn ' by Jere Brophy (Mcgraw Hill 1998)
“If students are not enjoying learning something is wrong with your curriculum and instruction-you have somehow turned an inherently enjoyable activity into
drudgery.” Jere Brophy
I find research extremely useful important and essential as a teacher. In fact I have written an article 'Initiating Research in Teacher Development' published on line by www.AmericanChronicle.com/anjumdar ( July 2005)
